I go through Deptford Station quite a lot, but it was only the other day that I noticed that the station sign was the old fashioned British Rail type, which I quite like. I hope that they keep it.

I finished listening to this today. I got it on sale when Big Finish put a bunch of 4th Doctor stories on sale for Peter Davison’s birthday. It was a great story. Really good. A real classic style story. It’s made me think I should possibly go back to getting the regular monthly series again. Maybe.
I can’t believe that I didn’t pick up on this last week, and I also can’t believe that Gareth Thomas has died. What a shame, only 71 as well, that’s not old these days. He was brilliant as Blake in Blake’s 7, which is a great favourite of mine. I feel like the world of Blake’s 7 is much smaller as a result.
I’m also thinking that I should now re-watch the entire TV series and also re-listen to all the audiobooks. That could take quite a while, but would of course be worth it.
I also wonder what Big Finish will do now in terms of the next step for their audio series for Blake’s 7? I do hope that they continue it somehow.
I was really pleased to hear that Big Finish were bringing back the 10th Doctor, and now they’ve set the date, and it’s soon! The first episode is coming on the 16th of May! Which is brilliant. I’m really looking forward to it.

I had high hopes for getting a lot of stuff from this year’s Record Store Day. I decided to go to Sister Ray Records in Soho as I found that their approach to RSD was much better organised that some other stores. I got there just before 8am and got to the shop itself at around 10:30. I guess I had about 10 different records on my list. So how many did I get?
One. Just one. That’s right, after queuing in the cold, and it was really cold, for 2 and a half hours I managed to get just one record from the day. I was a bit disappointed to say the least. I think that it’s the worst I’ve done since starting to go along, and it makes me question what RSD is about.
Is it about celebrating and turning up to support your local independent store, or is it about buying stuff to sell on through eBay or elsewhere? Having just had a quick look on eBay I know what I think, but you make your own mind up.
Not sure I’ll be bothering again.
I’ve been looking forward to it for quite some time now and the day is here! I’ll be out and about trying to grab everything on my list. Later on I’ll let you know how I get on.
In case you were interested I’ve been adding to my releases on bandcamp recently. You can them all here. There’s a variety of stuff from tracks that were made with Bhajis Loops and other mobile music apps pre-iOS to relatively new things including some music I made for a theatre production.
