Kickass not quite so Kickass

This is one of those films that I really wanted to see for ages. So I saw it in HMV for £3 and bought it. What a disappointment though. I thought it was really gratuitous for most of the movie, although the ending wasn’t bad.

So, for £3 it wasn’t quite the bargain I thought it was. I don’t think I’ll be watching it again.

App revisit: BtBx

Another old app that hasn’t seen the light of day for a very long time, and whilst it does still work and in fact works very well on my 3G, it isn’t too functional. You have to remember though that this app first came out back in 2008 I think, so it isn’t as though it wasn’t a good piece of software. When it came out it was an excellent app considering the others that were around back then, but by today’s standards it isn’t anywhere near as complex as many others.

Even so, I think I might keep it on my 3G just for fun.

Waiting for Romo

Romo’s seem to be arriving all over the place, although mainly in the US of course. I’m still waiting for mine and for the updated app to get into the iOS app store. I’m really looking forward to seeing mine and getting a chance to play with it.

App revisit: 8Bitone

I decided to revisit 8bitone after ever such a long time. To be honest I could never get my head around this app when it came out and never managed to make anything that was even vaguely satisfying. I thought that when I went back to it I might find it easier, but no, I still don’t get it as yet, which makes me really annoyed!

It’s a shame, as Yudo were so promising in the early iOS days, but they’ve just disappeared from that whole scene now. I guess that happens, but I still see it as a lost opportunity.

Getting the Donut

Now that I’m back to using my iPad for music again I thought I’d have another go at Donut, and suddenly, it really clicked. I used it to record some vocal cut ups and it was wonderful, or that is to say, I really enjoyed it anyway.

I really do love The Strange Agency. They’re amazing!

That was a good day

I found this badge in my coat pocket. It was from the Music 4.5 conference I was at and spoke at. I really enjoyed the event and there was a lot of very interesting information shared there, but I think most of all I enjoyed the people.

So it was good to remember the day when I pulled this out of my pocket and thought about some of the things I might do as a result.

The mist

I put this on instagram a week or so ago, but I liked it so much I thought I’d post it too.

Happy birthday Mary Tamm

My favourite Romana. I think it’s probably time to watch The Key to Time again. Anyway, many happy returns to one of the best Doctor Who companions in my humble opinion.
