4th Doctor: Philip Hinchcliffe Presents

BgMYb11CEAA-Dgw

I’m really looking forward to this. Two stories, a six part and a four part. I love the longer and more involved stories and with Philip Hinchcliffe it’s going to be excellent.

Big Finish really are awesome and are putting out some truly awesome content these days.

Now here’s the real sound of Christmas … Tijuana Christmas (Sound of Brass)

Something from my childhood that I remember from every Christmas. Decorating the tree to the sound of Tijuana Christmas. My Grandfather used to love it too, and in many ways that sound reminds me of him, which is no bad thing at all.

It was awesome, and now I’ve found out that it’s on iTunes I can go grab it for myself and relive all of those memories!

New friends and art at the weekend

Last Saturday was an awesome day for a wide variety of reasons. The company of Mr Miki Strange. It was great to meet him after all these years online and equally great to share two exhibitions I really wanted to see with him.

Miki has posted his views of the day here and here, and I don’t think I can put down my thoughts in a more concise manner than that to be honest.

Happy birthday Douglas

I still love his work and it’s such a huge shame that he isn’t around to make any more of it. Happy Birthday Douglas Adams. It was good to see the google doodle about you.

Happy birthday Mr Baker

Can you believe that Tom Baker is 79! That’s amazing, completely amazing. I was just listening to him today, talking at the end of the latest Big Finish CD. He doesn’t sound 79 at all.

I hope he keeps on doing lots more audio stories.

The Barbara Hepworth Museum

Although it’s only a small museum it’s a brilliant collection of Hepworth’s work in her garden, and seeing it on a lovely fine day in St Ive’s made it a fantastic experience.
