Punchdrunk track: WT – A child no more

This is a track made in Bhajis Loops as part of a collection of 60 tracks that was to called ‘Punch Drunk’. I’m still working on getting the whole thing finished, but I thought that I’d share some of the tracks to see if anyone has any views on them.

The original plan was that there would be 60 tracks each of 60 seconds long, which explains why this track is only a minute long!

The Squid still works on the Lion

I tried the old Synchopoolp app on my OSX Lion Mac but I didn’t really have any hope that it would run. I was wrong. It worked just fine. It synced a bhajis file from my T3 and it rendered out all of the tracks as separate .wav files too. No problem. Amazing to find that this software still works after all this time.

That really is a great bit of software. What else would you expect though?

Zodiac is up and running!

I finally managed to get a charger for my Zodiac 2, and it works just fine! I’ve had a very brief try out with the onboard sound card and that too works just fine. I’m looking forward to getting it fully loaded.

T3 Goodness still running

My T3 powered up again after a very long gap, and once I’d restored it from back up (it doesn’t have persistent memory), it was fine. Just like the last time I used it. Amazing what you can squeeze into just 64mb of memory.

miniMusic’s birthday?

I have this in my diary as the birthday of miniMusic, the Palm and iOS mobile music company. I think that they’re 13 years old today. Having just checked their site there’s no update there. In fact, the site hasn’t been updated since the 9th of March 2011. It’s a shame. I hope it doesn’t just fade away.

Anyway, assuming that miniMusic sticks around, as I most sincerely hope they do, here’s a very happy birthday to miniMusic.

Lost Microbes …

I posted this picture on instagram yesterday. I was having a great time playing with Microbe on my old Treo 650. Then suddenly, all the files disappeared. Which was a bit of a shame as I hadn’t played any of them for ages, and one or two I thought were actually worth saving.

I’ve no idea if anything can be done to recover them, I guess I’ll have to have a nose around the old forum to see if there’s anything there that helps. If not, well, that’s a shame.
