Thinking about what to do with Sugru

I’d heard of this stuff before, but I’d never used it. I got this sample from the lovely people at Technology Will Save Us when I went to their talk the other day. The sugru web site has some really good examples of how people have used the stuff.

So the only question remaining is, what should I use it for?

Hello May

I can’t believe it’s May already. I also can’t believe just how atrocious the weather is for May! Never mind, I just hope it gets better soon.

Lots of cool stuff to look forward to in May, and some new ideas I want to try out as well. I’m also hopeful that I might get back to making some music again as that seems to have dried up for the last few weeks.

Anyway, pinch punch and all that jazz …

Why do mobile phones have app platforms and landline phones don’t?

It really isn’t easy to find a home phone these days. Whilst we have loads of mobile phone shops, hardly anyone stocks a simple land line phone anymore. Why is that?

And, more to the point, why is it that land line phones haven’t evolved in the same way that mobiles have? I managed to find two Android powered home phones, but both had bad reviews that really put me off. But seriously, two smart-home phones? Is that all? Is there really no market for something more advanced in the home? I find it very strange indeed.

Discovering people on twitter

I got the latest Discovr app which helps you find people on twitter. I started with my old @PalmSounds twitter ID and found out where it was connected. Quite interesting results really, and quite fun to look at.

3G gave up

I don’t know if you can see it but just overlapping the Apple logo is that spinning thing that tells you that it’s doing something, or in this case, doing something for about 2 days. My jailbroken 3G finally broke and I had to wipe it to get it to do anything serious at all. Will I go back to a jailbroken 3G? Maybe, I’m not sure as yet quite what I want to do with the thing.
