Another wet bank holiday Monday

Like so many others I’ve been watching the weather to see what the bank holiday will be like, and, as per the forecast it’s dismal. Totally dismal. I had planned to go to a lovely little local music festival for the day, but sadly I don’t think that would be much fun at all now. It’s a huge shame and I’m sure that other people have had their days spoiled in much worse than mine, so there’s nothing to do but put a brave face on it and find something to do indoors!

This really is an awesome piece of hardware and something I love especially as it’s 100% tape based. I have to thank my good friend Miki Strange for this as he kindly gifted it to me last year. It’s more than just an awesome gift though. It’s a piece of art in itself, and also a brilliant piece of technology for making art as well. It’s going to be an amazing addition to my music making.

Thanks Miki.

And then Palm Sounds was 8 years old

Amazing to think that. I almost can’t believe that I’ve been writing Palm Sounds for just over 8 years now. How did that happen? But possibly the most amazing thing is how people have responded to it over the years and what it has created in that time. In fact, when I think about it, it can become a little overwhelming, so perhaps better not to, and just get on with it.

Yes, I think I’ll do that for now.

The dilema of opening things

I posted yesterday about getting this 12″ single of The The’s Giant. So far so good. But, sadly, the nice sticker on the front of the disc is on the cellophane and not on the sleeve itself, meaning that the minute I open it, the sticker is gone!

Disaster!

Molecule notebook

My molecule book

Found this today and wondered what I should do with it. I can’t bring myself to use it as I think that there are probably very few of these in the world. So, what should I do with it? Use it? Keep it safe somewhere?

I’m not sure really, but I can’t get rid of it. That’s for sure.
