This is a great idea in my opinion. It is a collaboration between the British Library, the National Trust, the National Trust for Scotland and audioBoom Ltd to create an archive of recordings of the seaside. It’s a wonderful idea and I’m hoping to get to submit some stuff for it at some point this year.

Cassette Store Day will return 17 October
Great that Cassette Store day is coming back again this year. I hope it’ll be better supported than before. I’ll be celebrating it of course. Why wouldn’t I?
Nearer the time I’ll try and post details of events and the like, and hopefully I’ll get along to some too.
Audio Unit Extensions on iOS, yes, that’s coming
So it seems that we’re getting audio units on iOS, and more than that we’re getting audio units that go across both iOS and OSX. All in one go. Now that will be interesting, or at least it could be. The down side from my perspective is that I think it makes mobile more and more like desktop computer music. I’m not entirely sure that’s a good thing.
My 3Doodler arrived!
New PDA, ok, not actually new, but new to me

So long SMS from Google Calendar
Now that’s a shame. No more texts from GCal! I’m going to miss those a lot. I’ll just have to work out a better way of getting notifications. Probably have to use IFTTT for that, so something.

A new album coming from New Order this September
Which is great news. I’ve been a fan for years so I’m really looking forward to this album, apparently it’s called “Music Complete”. It’s not going to be available until the 25th of September, but that’s ok.
