What’s not to like right? It is my favourite genre of fiction by a long way indeed.
Now that I’ve listened to I, Davros, here’s what I think
I, Davros: Purity
I, Davros: Guilt
I, Davros: Corruption
I had the first of this series before and when Big Finish made the rest available at just £2.99 each I thought I should complete the series. It’s set before ‘Destiny of the Daleks’ and is about Davros’ early life. Actually it’s very good. I won’t spoil it in case there’s any chance you’re going to listen to these.
At the sale price I’d recommend these to listen to.
Blake’s 7: The Liberator Chronicles – Remnants (some thoughts)
So I’ve listened to this now. It was good. Short, only an hour, but good. It sort of sets out a new way for the Liberator and the crew. It’ll hopefully be the beginning for the new series coming next year.
It gave me a few surprises too, which is always nice, but what else would you expect from Big Finish right?
Looking forward to 2016 and some more excellent stories.
I, Davros: Innocence
There were some deals on Big Finish over the weekend and so I decided to grab the “I, Davros” season and see what it’s like. It was very cheap.
Doctor Who Companion Chronicles: Empathy Games
It’s always great to hear David Warner in a Doctor Who story, and he was very good in this one. This was one of the best of the batch that I got when the companion chronicles was on sale.
Doctor Who Companion Chronicles: The Catalyst
Not a bad story at all actually. A good solid companion story. I enjoyed this.
Doctor Who Companion Chronicles: The Stealers from Saiph
This was good. Very much in the style of the 4th Doctor, and with the amazing Mary Tamm, who was one of my all time favourite companions. She is very missed.
Doctor Who Companion Chronicles: The Time Vampire
This wasn’t a bad Companion Chronicles story really. I did mind it. It wasn’t the best I’ve heard, but it wasn’t the worst at all.
Doctor Who Companion Chronicles: The Child
Whilst this was quite cheap it didn’t really do anything much for me I’m afraid. I didn’t think much of the story really, it didn’t really appeal.
Doctor Who Companion Chronicles: The Pyralis Effect
This audiobook was on sale recently and as it was a very good deal and I’d not heard it I decided to grab a bargain. It was worth it actually.
Whilst it isn’t a particularly long story it was a good one. I quite like these short stories. They’re fun. They’re well written and nicely bite sized.
