someone who's doing some things
Music is a huge part of my life so it’s almost certain that this category will have a lot of stuff in it.
I’m a fan of Deerful’s music so it was good news when she announced a cassette release. It’s a really nice EP too and very well put togeher.
This was undoubtedly their biggest hit and certainly the one that most people will remember the most. I picked it up for next to nothing too.
This is a lovely double 7″ from the height of the Japan era, just before the band split up. Great tracks on both of these singles.
In fact I really do like this single it’s a great song and I sort of wished that they’d done more together, but sadly they didn’t. Shame about the 7″ cover though.
I’ve been a fan of The Associates since I first heard ‘White Car in Germany’ and ‘Q Quarters’. This is a great compilation of their material over the years. Nice to listen to all of it together.
A bit of a battered old copy picked up from a local 2nd hand shop a week ago. It’s not in great condition but I can’t resist picking up a John Foxx 7″.
A recent trip out for second hand vinyl yielded a few gems, this being one. I do like early Spandau, in fact I think they steadily got worse over the years and lost their original flare.
Still, this was a good find.
They were one of the best funk type bands I’ve seen in years. A great 10 piece who played faultlessly for a couple of hours. I was really impressed with them. Sadly there were only 30 people in the audience, which was just crazy in my view.
I’d certainly see them again.
I’ve been waiting for this album for what seems like forever. The release date has been going back for a while now, or at least that’s my impression of it.
Anyway, finally it’s arrived. A CD and a DVD, both of which I’m really looking forward to.
