That is to say that projects may commence at some point. It’s a step in the right direction I suppose. I probably need a few more bits and pieces sorted out before I can get going, so realistically, after Christmas.
At least, that’s the plan anyway.

Waiting for Romo
I am really looking forward to getting this little device in the not too distant future. Only have to wait until Feb. It feels like ages though!
I’m hoping that I might be able to use it with some older devices too, but I guess I’ll have to wait and see how that goes.
The sound is a signature
I’ve been a fan of John Foxx for a long time now, but listening to his latest album I started to realise that there is a real signature to his songs, to the progressions and sequencing of them. You could probably recognise them in other people’s music quite easily.
Not that it is a bad thing you understand. I like his music a lot and I think that the last two albums he’s done as John Foxx and the Maths have been excellent. In fact I’ve been playing tracks from them quite obsessively for a while now.
It just occurred to me when I was listening to Evergreen.
Mindstorming
After a long time I’ve got a new idea for a mindstorms project. I think it’s going to take me a fair while to get it working. Even so, it’s good to have a new idea to work through and think about. Hopefully I’ll have something to show at some point too.
The Brothers Grimm
As there was a total lack of anything decent to watch on TV tonight I decided to watch the brothers Grimm which I hadn’t seen in ages, and was pleasantly surprised at how good it was.
It reminds me of story telling festivals where you here tales that are adapted and altered and made funnier in a kind of up to date way. I think Gilliam’s a great story teller and this film was a little under-rated in my opinion.
Good to see it again. I think I’ll have to mine my collection for less watched gems again.
Weekend Ales
Both lovely beers in their own ways, and both very enjoyable.
New Fennesz / Sakamoto album coming next month
It’s called Flumina and I’m really looking forward to it. I’ve just been listening to the previews on iTunes and it sounds very peaceful and restful, and almost certainly what I’ll need by early next month.
It’s due on the 5th of December, so not too long to wait.
Serpent Crest 3 – Listened
I finished listening to the 3rd part of this new 4th Doctor story today. I have to say it was very unusual indeed, but I really enjoyed it and I have no idea where the story is going now.
I’m hoping that the last 2 episodes will get released before Christmas. Something to look forward to right?
The run up to Christmas
It’s kind of fun getting ready for Christmas. All the things that you expect to happen. The last minute shopping, the getting together with people for no apparent reason except ‘it’s Christmas’.
It’s like a kind of ritual preparation. A habit that gives comfort in some ways. Getting ready for the break at the end of the year.
I’m just looking forward to some time off.
Playing around with Dashcode
I’ve been messing around with Dashcode for a few days, and I have a few ideas and plans of things I might make, so you may see a few things crop up over the coming weeks which will add a little bit more fun to the site.
