It’s just a little change really, nothing spectacular or anything, but a tidy up of sorts. I’ll probably be doing more to it over the coming days / weeks. Thought I’d let you know.

Radiophonic Workshop: Burials in Several Earths

I’ve been a fan for a long time now, and I saw them at WOMAD a few years ago, which was a real joy. Now they’ve released Burials in Several Earths on 10″ vinyl and it is a thing of beauty. Not only to listen to but simply as an object in itself. I’m glad to own it.
And PalmSounds was 11

Which is kind of a big deal really. 11 years is a long time to have been running a site, any site in fact.
It’s not the big milestone that 10 was, but I think it’s still important.
iCloud troubles
I love how Apple always tells you how much all their products and services make life easier. Well not always! Over the last couple of weeks I’ve had terrible trouble with iCloud. To the extent that it’s deleted all of my calendars, forced me to change passwords all over the place too.
Not much fun at all. Not in any way. Thanks so much Apple.
Rebble is moving forward
Which is positive as there’s no real future for Pebble watches with Pebble or FitBit, Rebble could be a possibility. It seems that they’re making progress albeit slow progress. The latest update is the 23rd of April. I’m hopeful that this will bring the Pebble back to life, but it is early days.
Sad to find out that bitLab is closed
The littleBits bitLab that is. I’d always wondered how sustainable it would be, but apparently there’s already an answer to that question. So it’s a shame. I think that there were some very nice projects in there but obviously not enough money to make it work.
It’s a shame. It was a great idea.
The fourth doctor to get a new companion!
I read that in the news on the big finish site a week or so ago and I’ve been pondering it ever since. When the fourth doctor came back in the form of excellent stories from big finish. Ever since the stories have been with original companions, the much missed Mary Tamm as Romana 1, Leela from the excellent Louise Jameson, and latterly Romana 2 with Lala Ward.
Now there’s to be a new, or rather a completely new companion. I still don’t know how I feel about that. I guess I’ll have to wait and see how it actually sounds in the end.
Rephone Kit for Pebble Time
Colossus Sequencer and Synth, it’s been too long …

I actually got these two working a long time ago, and they do work quite well, if being a bit limited, but they’re fun and that’s fine.
However, I was thinking the other day that I should give it a go with some of the other little modular things I have. The colossus sequencer has a CV out so should work with some of my other bits and pieces.
There’s an experiment or two in there I think.
Experimenting with little modular things

I’ve been exploring some of my tiny modular devices. Above you can see. I posted this picture a while ago on Instagram. It was a fun thing to play around with, and I think that these devices go very well together.
I can see myself doing a lot more little sessions like this. I’ve been recording them on tape too. Yep, real cassette tape.
