So, Torchwood is coming to Big Finish
I suppose it shouldn’t be a big surprise. They’re producing excellent stories from just about everything else in the Doctor Who universe, so why not? I’m sure it’ll be brilliant and well worth a listen. However, I wasn’t always a massive Torchwood fan. It had its ups and downs. Some episodes were great, others I felt lost their way.
So I hope that Big Finish do a better and more consistent job of producing Torchwood.

I’ve been looking forward to this album since the single was released which was really good, and I think it did deliver. It’s a very cinematic album, and I’ve been enjoying that quality a great deal. But overall this album does feel like an instrumental Depeche Mode album. Not that that is a bad thing necessarily. In fact it probably says a lot about how Depeche Mode works more than anything.
Overall I liked it. I think I probably need to listen to it again though. Probably in a bit more depth.

Blake’s 7: Liberator Chronicles 6
After the previous couple of volumes of the Liberator Chronicles I wasn’t sure about this version. But actually it was very good and provides some interesting back story for both Blake and Jenna. So I quite enjoyed it.
Depeche Mode’s Delta Machine
I’ve been listening to this album again after a long time and really enjoying it all over again. Listening to it reminded me just how long it has been since they released an album, and made me wonder when they’d do that again. I realise that as they all get a bit older they’re going to make less new stuff, but I really hope that it’s not over yet.
5th Doctor: The Children of Seth
Another good story from the lost stories series. Listening to these 5th doctor stories does make me realise that there’s a real difference in these stories from the 4th Doctor stories. It’s interesting to hear them and begin to draw a distinction. Or perhaps I’m just a little too close to this stuff?
It might take a while for the Apple Watch to get to the right thickness
Whilst I think that kind of thickness is ok on a phone I’m not sure that it’ll work for me on a smart watch. So I’ll wait until we get to the Apple Watch Air or whatever it gets called.
Reading about the Radiophonic Workshop
I’ve been looking forward to this book for a while now as it’s a special interest for me. I saw the Radiophonic workshop at WOMAD last year and I’ve always been interested in Delia Derbyshire’s work.
So, it’s election day in the UK
It’s a big day. A very big day, in so many ways. Who knows how things will turn out in this election. If you believe the polls there’s nothing much in it. So, who will win? In fact, will anyone win at all? Probably not the voters that’s for sure.
