Let the experimentation with Griff begin
I had an idea the other day about how to use Griff studio in combination with other gear. I’ve no idea if it will work or be useful, but it’s worth trying out for fun if nothing else.
Returning to Xenon
Another app that I’ve long overlooked and I now plan to use some more. Xenon is a great groove box and can generate some really nice synthy sounds. In many ways it reminds me of Microbe on the Palm OS, but it is a different app in many ways.
I got back to this and get a little track up and running in just a few minutes yesterday and I’m looking forward to doing some more with it soon.
David Sylvian: Victim of Stars
I got it, I was always going to. I’m interested to hear what kind of collection it is and the one track I don’t have, so I’ll probably be giving it a listen today / tomorrow.

One of Amidio’s brightly coloured interfaces. I decided to try this out again as it fell into the ‘haven’t used since it came out’ category. One thing that came back very quickly was that the random drum pattern generator was quite fun to play with, and as an ‘instant composer’ app (as it is described), it does do what is says it will very well.
I think I’ll spend a bit more time with this one over the next few weeks.
