I love the new (well not very new) mixdown options in Mixtikl.

Where are the monotrons?
I’ve been waiting ages for the two new monotrons to arrive, but so far nothing, at least nothing at a reasonable price anyway. A few retailers have them on at £100, but I’m not willing to pay that much for them. I’m aiming to pay around £50 each for them.
Of course the big problem with these is that I wonder if I’ll get them and then never use them, or hardly ever use them and it’ll just be a waste of cash. I rarely use my original monotron now, so maybe I should get that out and give it a go again before I spend out on two new ones?
There’s a Microbe in my 3G
Now I’ve got the excellent Microbe running under StyleTap on my old iPhone 3G. Of course, the original version of Microbe was built to run on a much less powerful device, so in theory it should do quite well. Next I need to get the big one up and running.

GuitarJack and iShred LIVE!
I do like iShred LIVE! And the other day I got it working with GuitarJack 2. I like iShred LIVE! because some of the effects in it are quite unusual and aren’t what you find in other effects simulations.
The upshot is I’ve ended up buying loads of in-app purchase units on apps all over the place. I’m sure it’ll be worth it though.
Sound Design in Mixtikl
To say that Mixtikl is a music app with a great deal of depth would be a massive understatement. Most recently I’ve been getting into the sound design capabilities of Mixtikl. You’d think that this might be difficult on an iPhone. But it isn’t. In fact, once you’ve got the hang of it, the sound design screens are actually quite easy to work with.
What you can achieve with Mixtikl is actually amazing, and the more I do with it, the more I realise that it can do.
And more Jasuto
I just love playing with stuff in Jasuto Pro. It’s so good for experimenting with ideas. Even when they just don’t work at all.
My latest idea for Jasuto was a total failure. Which was great as it made me think of something else which was quite interesting to toy with.
Revisiting Oramics
Oramics is still one of those music apps that I find myself returning to regularly. Just for the making of strange noises and thinking about the pioneering days of electronic music.
