I like motorway driving, especially at night, when the roads are quiet, and that makes me listen to John Foxx. Metamatic being the best album. I love how angular it is. Wonderful to drive to.

Another of my favourite artists.
The sound is a signature
I’ve been a fan of John Foxx for a long time now, but listening to his latest album I started to realise that there is a real signature to his songs, to the progressions and sequencing of them. You could probably recognise them in other people’s music quite easily.
Not that it is a bad thing you understand. I like his music a lot and I think that the last two albums he’s done as John Foxx and the Maths have been excellent. In fact I’ve been playing tracks from them quite obsessively for a while now.
It just occurred to me when I was listening to Evergreen.
The Shap of Things by John Foxx and the Maths
A truly beautiful CD Book.
The Shape of Things
Is the new album by John Foxx and the Maths. I got it today. It is awesome. So what did you expect? Apart from anything the whole package is a thing of beauty. It is in fact a book containing two CDs. One is the main album and the other is a CD of remixes.
I’ll take a few pictures in the morning and you can see just how good it is.
John Foxx and the Maths at the XOYO
It was an awesome performance from Mr Foxx as ever, and a great venue too, just right for his stuff.
Interplay
I listened to this album 3 times yesterday and it is growing on me. I guess one of the things that makes it difficult to get into is that I’ve already heard a couple of tracks which I really liked, so I sort of think the whole album should be like that, and it isn’t entirely.
Still, it is a good album, and I think it’ll continue to grow on me.
John Foxx and The Maths: Interplay
I’ve been waiting for this album for a while now. I got the ‘special’ edition, which is nice to look at. I’m listening to it now, so I’ll let you know what I think later.
