I picked up these excellent kits from Technology And Will Save Us at Rough Trade East. They’re lovely and I’m really looking forward to getting going with them soon.
I realised that I had another lumiphone kit from Technology will save us. So I thought I had to make it up. This one I’ve made exactly to the instructions, and it works perfectly.
Good to get soldering again.
Ok, it’s just a simple noise maker, it doesn’t do a huge amount, but it’s fun, and noisy.
After a little while of playing with the Ototo and enjoying what it can do I now want to attach it to some gear to play with it via MIDI. So my next experiments will be using Ototo to drive apps and other devices over MIDI and we’ll see where that takes me.
