So, here’s the board for the wave shield. Not the most complex in the world, but certainly the most complex I’ve attempted. So I’m going to take it really slowly.

The incredible micro-controller board from Italy that’s inspired so many projects and spin offs and that I’ve been trying to master and use for ages.
My next soldering project is going to be …
And Arduino Wave Shield Kit. Which, I have to say is a little bit of a reach for me, but, I really think that making this and then using it will be a big step forward for me in terms of my Arduino experiments, which I really want to take into a more audio / musical direction. So this is, I think, the best way forward.
I’ll post shots of the board as I make progress on it.

Technology Will Save us: Getting Physical with tech
I went to this talk last night about physical tech. Lots of stuff about Arduinos and prototyping and 3D printing and all of that kind of stuff. I really enjoyed it, especially because the guy giving the talk was so enthusiastic.
The evening did a lot to re-energise me into thinking about making stuff and getting on with some projects, or just having some fun playing with tech.
Yes, it’s time to try my hand at the Arduino again
Even more Arduino
More Arduino
Arduino trouble
These are some potentiometers I bought for use with my new Arduino Mega ADK. I got the code into the Arduino IDE and then hit trouble. It appears that with version 1.0 of the Arduino IDE a bunch of headers (or something) have been moved and as a result my code won’t work.
It’s a real pain as I was looking forward to getting this stuff working and talking to Android, but it looks like that might take a while longer now. What a shame.
oomlout
I love oomlout, they’re brilliant and always seem to have good solutions for DIY stuff. If you don’t know them, then take a look, it’s worth it if you do any electronics stuff with Arduinos and the like.
Arduino Mega ADK
I sat on the fence about getting one of these for a while, but I eventually decided that I’d love to play with Arduino and Android and Processing all together. So expect some more semi-mobile geekery in due course.
