Just some photos from the SoundLab event at the end of April, which was amazing!

The Clangers and Bagpus exhibition at the V&A Museum of Childhood
I’ve never been to the V&A’s Museum of Childhood before, but decided to drop in and take a look as I was passing the other day. They had an exhibition of the Clangers and also Bagpus, which was brilliant. I love the Clangers and always have done.
It was only a little exhibition, but it was lovely to see and I’m sure to go back to this museum soon.
Brian Eno, The Ship
A week or two ago I went to here Lord Jim Knight speak at CTC

He was very good. He covered a lot of ground in a very short space of time, but it was all very interesting. From future trends and how they impact our economy now to how we think about education in the future and how life spans are getting bigger and bigger. It gave me a lot to think about and a lot of ideas too. Some of which are really following up stuff I’m already doing in terms of working in music and education.
Overall it’s good to know that people like him are thinking about these issues and trying to make sense of them.
Remember there’s the RandomBus, and it’s going to get better too
Whilst mentioning VL tonifier I thought I’d also talk about another of my developing collection of bots, the RandomBus, which I launched a little while ago. It was fun to make and hopefully it’ll be fun for anyone who wants to follow it too. I’ve got some plans for the RandomBus, some interesting plans which I hope to get out in the next few weeks. When they come about I’ll let you know.
Now there’s a page for the VL Tonifier bot
If you’re interested in it then you can find out a little more about it here on it’s very own special page with my other bots.
I’m not sure I can believe that Spectrum Next is a thing
It’ll be interesting to see what sort of pricing comes up for Spectrum Next when it arrives on whatever crowdfunding site they choose. I like the look of it, but what I’d really like is the same thing for a ZX81. I doubt very much that anyone is going to do that though.
Anyway, it’ll be interesting to see how this develops.
So the Artiphon Instrument 1 is nearly here
I have to say that I’ve been waiting for this for a long time now and I’ve excited to see what it’s finally like in the flesh or so to speak. It’s been a long time coming, but they’ve been good at keeping in touch with what they’ve been doing and how they’re getting on, and I’ve appreciated that a lot.
You can certainly expect some posting and thoughts from me when it finally does arrive.
It’s the first of May
And today I’ve been thinking about a song, “Tam Lyn Retold” by the imagined village. Which was a great song and a great album too. “Tam Lyn Retold” was performed by Benjamin Zephaniah, and it was amazing. Keep thinking of the song today.
