someone who's doing some things
So another MTP4.5 goes by. This one was really good. I had a great panel of judges and an a great bunch of start ups who were pitching. The debate and questions were insightful and I think that the start ups all felt that they’d had a good chance to get their ideas across.
Interestingly the audience and the judges winners were identical this time, which I’m not sure I’m seen happen before.
I plan to use the old iBook to run older software and maybe even an old emulator or two as well. I’ve upgraded the RAM to 1.25GB now and it’s pretty good.

The last time I used Processing I was messing around with the minim library for sound. Now, in version 3, there’s the new sound library and it looks (and sounds) amazing!
I’ve only played with it a little but so far the example code looks really straightforward to read and understand. I might even start making a few things myself! Who knows.
Things seem to be coming together now for the event. I think is going to be pretty awesome altogether. There are some amazing companies showing their technologies and some great people coming to talk as well.
There’s still a lot to do in the next two weeks but it’s going to be good.

I’ve been getting back into Processing 3. As I said when it first arrived, it’s been a while since I made things with Processing, but this version looks so much better than what’s gone before. Installing libraries and tools is now just so easy. It’s amazing. It feels like I really need to get back to making some stuff with Processing again.
I posted this the other day but I’m just so pleased to have been asked and for it to have been published that I thought I should post a like to it again today. It’s on the Disquiet site now, go take a look.
I checked back earlier on to see when this was first announced, and it was back in Feb this year, so I’ve been waiting for this a long time. I expect that I’m not the only one by a long way.
I’m so glad that Big Finish have brought back UNIT and given it a new lease of life. I’m really looking forward to it and I have high expectations to say the least. I hope that they’re met.
Anyway, I’m off to buy it now. As always, I’ll let you know what I think of it.
It’s getting closer now, only 2 and a half weeks away now, and things are just about starting to come together, or at least it feels like that.
