I went along to a workshop at WOMAD this year and I had to get a shot of this frame drum with a QR code on it. What a great idea!

Mediterranean Biome at the Eden Project
The Barbara Hepworth Museum
Although it’s only a small museum it’s a brilliant collection of Hepworth’s work in her garden, and seeing it on a lovely fine day in St Ive’s made it a fantastic experience.
A very overdue visit to the Eden Project
I think it has been almost 10 years since I visited the Eden Project, and a lot has changed since I was last there. One of the biggest changes was the enormous zip wire that goes across the entire site. Of course, I had to try that out, and it was a truly amazing ride, I can thoroughly recommend it.
Of course, the biomes are really impressive too. It’s very easy though to walk through them and not stop to take in the huge variety species inside. It’s really worth spending the time to look, read and think about the work that the Eden Project is doing and just how amazing it is, especially when you think it was just a clay mining pit in the not too distant past.
I’m glad to have gone again and spent the day there, it was a great day out, and if you’ve never been I’d thoroughly recommend it.
Yes, that is a large polar bear
Blake’s 7: The Liberator Chronicles 1.2 Solitary
The second part of the first box set of Liberator Chronicles. This time a story all about Vila. Although it seemed to take a while to get going it wasn’t a bad story really, but it lacked pace and excitement. Perhaps partly because it was a largely narrated story.
So far the chronicles boxed set hasn’t lived up to my expectations. I’ve only one more CD to go!
Home (during WOMAD)
I bought this tent as my last 2 man pop up tent had really gone beyond what I could expect from it, so this 3 man replaced it, and I have to say that I’ve been really pleased with it. It has loads of space and was just great during WOMAD. It’s slightly more complex to put away than the other pop up tents I’ve had, but even so it only took a few minutes to get it packed away.
Laurie Anderson “Dirtday” at the RHF
My ticket for Laurie Anderson’s amazing show on Friday. It was everything that I’ve come to expect from a Laurie Anderson show. Amusing, emotional, political and personal, it was a great performance on every level. I’m so glad I went along.
I wish she’d release another album. I know it hasn’t been long since her last, but the material from her last few shows is so good I’d like to hear it again.
In any case, it was a superb show and I’m glad I made the effort to get along to it.
Blake’s 7: Season 1
I’ve just finished watching season 1 of Blake’s 7, and I’ve loved every minute of it. It’s been wonderful. I’m really looking forward to the next two seasons, which I’ll almost certainly watch soon enough. The more I watch Blake’s 7 the more I realise just how underrated it was.
So, on to season 2.
