someone who's doing some things
This was posted over at Palm Sounds. I thought it was worth say just how interesting the meeting was. Thought provoking doesn’t do it justice at all in fact. It’s been on my mind ever since and I’ve been considering what it means.
But I think it’ll take time to get a considered response together, and it might be a long one.
So I’ve connected the UNO R3 into the MIDI element. I’ve downloaded the code, but as I’ve gone to verify it I’ve got problems. This might take a bit longer to sort out than I imagined!
It’s still a little strange to listen to Mary Tamm’s voice, but this is another excellent fourth doctor story, and it has a truly awesome cast as well. David Warner, and Hayley Atwell, as well as Toby Hadoke who I saw in Edinburgh last year with his one man show.
This looks like a great site for people sharing ideas for pebble faces, there are excellent ideas for new watch faces.
It’s getting there slowly.
I couldn’t resist getting a Laurie Spiegel t-shirt after discovering her music and work recently. So here they are, both together.
By the way, Lauris Spiegel’s album “The Expanding Universe” is excellent and well worth a listen.
Actually it was a couple of days ago now, but yes, it is a pebble watch. I’ve been wearing it for a couple of days now, and I plan to start posting a daily or semi-daily review or update of how I’m finding it and general thoughts on wearable computing.
So, more to come soon.

Whilst I’d like to see a Pd input into the Molecule Synth I’m not quite sure how that would work in practice. It’s interesting for sure, but what would it do and how?
I’m sure that Travis already has a great idea for both the what and the how. I hope he’ll let us know soon though.
As a long time fan of Steve Jansen’s work it was great to try out hear something new from him. I really enjoyed this track and I’m looking forward to listening to the next one that’s just been released.
