It’s only a start, but I’ve published my iOS automation and resource page here. There’s only a couple of links there at the moment, but both of those are very useful indeed, and I expect to add more over time.

Space 1999: Season 1

It is just as I remember it. The stories aren’t actually too bad by today’s standards, and it’s obvious that they’re trying to ideas and concepts in the show that weren’t being addressed elsewhere. The sets aren’t bad either, and neither are the special effects when you allow for when it was bad. Of course, the fact that it’s meant to have started in 1999 is quite amusing from today’s perspective as we’re so far away from having a base on the moon or indeed any kind of sophisticated space programme anywhere in the world.
It’ll take me a little while to get through it, but I’ll get there, and then I’ll have to decide if I’m going to get myself season 2 as well.

A first outing for my littleBits Korg Synth kit

iOS Automation apps page is live
If you’re interested in automating stuff on your iOS device then I’ve just published a little list of the main apps I use for this. I hope to publish some more on the subject too, but for now, the list is available here.

Regretting my decision over pebble
I’ve been without my pebble smartwatch for several weeks now. I decided to give it up after just not using it in ages. Of course, fairly quickly after giving it up Pebble announced version 2.0 of their firmware and some really cool new functionality. I can’t get it back, but now I really want a smartwatch again! And then, as if to give a final smack in the face, they bring out Pebble Steel.
So, I’m left wondering whether I should even consider getting another pebble, or wait around for the long rumoured iWatch from Apple. Probably the best thing to do is to wait right now, but that’s not as easy as it sounds either.
