I’ve just finished listening to this McGann story. It’s actually a very good one, and Mary Shelley as a companion is still working well too.
Month: January 2013
Finished reading “Music in Dreamland”
I’ve never been much of a reader of biographies, but this one really got my attention. Having been a long time fan of Bill Nelson I did know a lot about him and his music, but the book brought it to life (of course he’s still alive so it would).
It was well worth the read and I might even buy his other book.
It’s given me a taste for reading other biographies too, which is handy as I have a real backlog of books to read.
Getting ready for some Raspberry Pi geekery
Checking through the Wire’s top albums of 2012
This is an annual event where I see just how many albums out of the Wire’s top 50 I have bought or have listened to. I’ve not done too badly at all this year so far, and for the first time I’ve got the no.1 album in the Wire top 50 already! It’s Laurel Halo’s Quarantine, and it is a great album, of that there’s no doubt.
So overall I’ve not done too bad for 2012.
