Be Bop Deluxe: Futurist Manifesto

I got this box set the other day and I’ve been listening to it off and on for the last few days. I love the music of Be Bop Deluxe and found it by discovering Bill Nelson’s solo work.

I have all the actual LPs that make up Futurist Manifesto, but even so it’s great to hear all of the tracks together.

Another kit

When I was at the V&A Digital Design Weekend I picked up this kit as it looked like quite a lot of fun. I probably won’t get a chance to do much with it until November at the earliest, but hopefully it’ll get made soon.

Sarah-Jane Adventures

I just watched the first of the new series of the Sarah-Jane Adventures. Of course this will be the last series for obvious reasons. It is sad and strange to watch Elizabeth Sladen on TV when you know she’s no longer around, but also I think she’d be really pleased that people are watching it.

Doctor Who, Series Finale

I don’t know if it is just me, but I found the last series of Doctor Who a bit of a disappointment. I thought that it went off the boil half way through and the series finale was a real let down.

It may be that my expectations of this series were just too high, or perhaps the hype had set them too high? Also I think that when it started there were lots of really good plot lines that have simply been left hanging around and I think that’s a bit of a waste really.

I’m sure I’ll keep watching it, and the Christmas special seems to have a great cast, but it just doesn’t seem as good as before. Perhaps I just prefer the old style Dr Who. Maybe I’ll stick with that.
