I found this postcard in a pile of paperwork. It has some great pictures of the ethometric machines I saw in Edinburgh at the fringe.

The Power of Making
I went to this exhibition yesterday at the V&A and it was amazing. Not a huge exhibition, in fact quite small, but well worth getting along to, and it is free to get in to although there was a considerable queue for a Sunday.
I don’t know how long it is on for, so it’s worth checking the V&A site, but I’d certainly recommend it.
Bouldering along
I had my first experience of bouldering yesterday and it still hurts. To be fair I haven’t been climbing for a while now so I would expect to hurt after this kind of exercise, but it still comes as a shock. I’ve done a little climbing in my time and so I thought I knew what to expect, but bouldering was quite different in many ways.
Not that that is a bad thing at all. I quite enjoyed the different experience.
The Scott Monument
New toy
I bought this after wanting one for ages and it is a great noise maker to play with. I’m especially looking forward to what I can do with linking it to an Arduino.
WOMAD
Even though I only managed to get there for a day this year it was still brilliant. And whilst the programme will end up in the recycling bin in due course it still serves as a reminder of a great day out.
Of course next year is the 30th anniversary of WOMAD, so I hope / plan to be there for a the whole weekend. I bet it will be awesome.
