At the weekend I spent the late evenings in the dark, or almost dark, with nothing but a couple of candles and my iPad. That’s one of the things I love about mobile music. Being able to sit out in a forest in the dark and make music.

I love music. Making music, listening, talking about it and anything else too.

Moving forward: Back and Forth
I got to spend some time with my latest music project yesterday. I’ve been experimenting with processing audio through Jasuto which has had some interesting results.
As I said before, I think that the creative process in making these soundscapes may end up being more satisfying that the actual finished product, but at the moment I’m not worrying too much about that. I think I’ll enjoy the process for now and see where I end up with in a couple of months.
‘Micro Process’ Some new music from me
I’ve finally got around to finishing this off and I do quite like it really. Micro Process is 5 little tracks made on a Palm OS PDA and recorded using a Boss Micro BR. I’ve made it a page all to itself so if you want to have a listen you can find it here.
Finding the listening Room
I heard about this site from Evolver.fm. It is just the sort of thing I was looking for when I wrote this post.
The listening room seems like a really good start
The Music of the Wires
As you’re asking, yes, I did see the Human League last night
I wasn’t sure what to expect from this gig, but in the end it was good. I thought they’d only play newer stuff, but we got version of ‘Being Boiled’, and ‘Empire State Human’ too which was great. Nothing from Travelogue though which was a shame.
They played all the tracks you’d expect them too and a few that I didn’t expect like ‘The Lebanon’ and ‘Seconds’ which was great to hear live. It was quite a short gig though at only an hour a quarter.
I’m glad that I went to see them, it was a good show and I thought that they played well.
