I have always wanted a PMC 100. A synth with a built in cassette deck! What’s not to like?
So it’s arrived, but I haven’t got it up and running as yet. I think that sonically it’ll almost certainly be a disappointment, but I’m ok with that. At least I think I am anyway.
When I’ve got it running, you’ll know.
I hadn’t played with this in a long time, which makes me sad. So I decided to get the MSII out again and give it a little play. It makes just as strange noises as it ever did, and is just as difficult to understand. So this time around I’m going to make a much more concerted effort to understand how to get it to do the things I want it to do.
That’s the plan anyway.
For me this was a great thing. Setting up the Handera 330 and the bC-16 together. That was so cool. Using apps like Theremini and BeatPad and Hedghog.
I’d been after one of these for so long and at long last this year I’ve got one. It is lovely, really lovely.
These are really amazing little devices. Brilliant design, really interesting sounds, but not an intuitive interface. Fun, fun, fun, though.
I really like the Olegtron 4060. It’s pretty awesome. I haven’t played around with it for ages, so it’s good to try it again and make some sounds.

I think that this is a really amazing device and it’s doing so well on Kickstarter. I’ve posted about it a lot on PalmSounds, but was impressed and wanted to add it here too. Also, Tangible Instruments did a very nice thing. They included PalmSounds …
It was quite interesting actually. I filled a lot of gaps in my knowledge about modulars. However, it still hasn’t made me really want one. I can understand the ideas behind them and I can understand why they are popular, but I still don’t want to commit to getting one. Perhaps it’s because I’ve never actually got my hands on one so I’m not hooked as yet. Who knows.
Still, it was interesting to watch and hear some of the views of a few artists I really respect.
Well my littleBits MIDI bit arrived. I’ve been meaning to get one of these for a while now.
