Ok, this story is more like it. Still slightly incomprehensible, but that’s ok. It works, and I’m enjoying it at the half way point. I hope it continues to deliver and that they keep improving.

Remembering Elizabeth Sladen today
She would have been 66 years old today. We remember a wonderful actress who made a huge contribution to British Science Fiction and was brilliant in Doctor Who and her own excellent series.
She is missed.
GuitarJack and iShred LIVE!
I do like iShred LIVE! And the other day I got it working with GuitarJack 2. I like iShred LIVE! because some of the effects in it are quite unusual and aren’t what you find in other effects simulations.
The upshot is I’ve ended up buying loads of in-app purchase units on apps all over the place. I’m sure it’ll be worth it though.
Sound Design in Mixtikl
To say that Mixtikl is a music app with a great deal of depth would be a massive understatement. Most recently I’ve been getting into the sound design capabilities of Mixtikl. You’d think that this might be difficult on an iPhone. But it isn’t. In fact, once you’ve got the hang of it, the sound design screens are actually quite easy to work with.
What you can achieve with Mixtikl is actually amazing, and the more I do with it, the more I realise that it can do.

8th Doctor: The Natural History of Fear
Well, that was a very confusing story. It wasn’t bad though, and I did enjoy it, but by the end I wasn’t entirely sure that I’d really got the whole idea. Still, never mind. On to the next one in the series.
Goodbye January
Seems odd that January is over already. It seemed to go very quick, and I’m not sure that I got nearly as much done in it as I had intended to. Still, I think on the whole it wasn’t too bad. February looks like it might be quite cold if the last few days are anything to go by. I wonder how 2012 will pan out.
One day at a time I guess.
Sylvian Tour cancelled
I tweeted this yesterday, but it is still really on my mind. What a massive shame. Of course, I hope he does get better soon, and I hope that the dates get re-scheduled, but that can be a logistical nightmare.
Still, there’s a new retrospective of his work coming out in Feb, so I’ll have to just wait for that and the one or two tracks on there that I don’t have already.
8th Doctor: The Natural History of Fear
Now this story is a lot more promising than the last two! It already has me intrigued and I’m only half way through. I’ve no real idea where it will go next at the moment.
Revisiting Oramics
Oramics is still one of those music apps that I find myself returning to regularly. Just for the making of strange noises and thinking about the pioneering days of electronic music.
