This app reminded me a lot of Bebot, but with a more, ‘dog’ feel to it I guess. Fun to play around with, and free.

Music is a huge part of my life so it’s almost certain that this category will have a lot of stuff in it.
My guest post at Music 4.5
The people over at Music 4.5 are lovely. When I first spoke to Rassami about a mobile music conference last year I was just amazed to think that someone would be interested in that kind of thing, but now, less that twelve months on, it doesn’t seem so strange.
I’m looking forward to the event on the 8th. The panel of speakers looks really good (yep, I’m on it too), and I think there’ll be a broad spectrum of issues raised to cover the mobile music world and where it has got to.
If you’re interested in reading my piece over at Music 4.5’s blog, you can find it here.
More Aurora work
Unboxing a Monotron Delay (without a box)
I’ve only just got a new Monotron delay, which I have to say is really lovely. Some great sounds.
Something Cloudy out of Aurora
Back to NanoLoop
In the last couple of days I’ve really got back into NanoLoop and actually started to make something worth sharing.
Drawing music with Gliss
Remember SynthPond?
SynthPond was one of the first iOS music making apps and the concept still is very intriguing and interesting to play with.
I would have liked a way to record with this app and more controls over the sounds, especially filter and envelope controls. But, sadly, these were never forthcoming. Still, even without those it is still a great concept.

Concretedog’s album: The Coracle and the Yellow Shell
I’ve continued to listen to this album today, and I’m just amazed by the textures and chord sequences in this album. It is so gentle and subtle. I was also impressed by the very sparing use of electronics and how they were so well blended with the acoustic instruments.

Next on the list is a collaboration with the awesome Concretedog. I’m really looking forward to collaborating with him.
