Some more thoughts on the littlebits iOS app

I was thinking about this a bit more the other day, and really I’d like to see the ability to prototype directly in the app. That would, without a doubt, be the coolest thing possible to do with this app. It would be nice to play with a set up and be able to create stuff in the app that used not only the bits you owned, but others, and even prototype bits, or bits on the bitlab too.

That would be my preferred experience.

I’ve posted on this before, but here’s a little reminder. The event will be completely amazing, or at least I hope so anyway. It’s starting to shape up now and really come together.

If you’re interested in attending or being a part of it in some way, then take a look at this page on the SoundLab web site.

I’ve been working on this event for a while now and I think it’ll be completely amazing, or at least I hope so anyway. It’s starting to shape up now and really come together.

And it’s been a bit of a generative day over at PalmSounds

Today has been a bit of a day for my friends over at Intermorphic. Today marks 25 years that they’ve been in generative music, and that’s a pretty amazing achievement in my book. So I’ve been remembering some of the high points from my perspective over at PalmSounds today. I thought it was something that should be marked.

A simple IFTTT app arrives for Pebble

I noticed it on the Pebble Time store the other day and installed it. It seems easier to use than the other one I have, which only seems to work intermittently. Also, this one has three slots to trigger different recipes, all using the IFTTT maker channel, which is expected.

I haven’t had any time to try it out as yet, mainly because I have thought of three things I want to automate via the IFTTT maker channel. Perhaps I will, and then I’ll tell you how it works out.

Finished a new track with NanoStudio

En Hiver in NanoStudio
En Hiver in NanoStudio

I’ve been a big fan of NanoStudio since it first launched, but I’ve rarely finished anything that I’ve started with it. Today I’ve finished a piece that I began ages ago. It’s an old track that I’ve re-worked and I’m really pleased with it.

Recording En Hiver in AudioShare

AudioShare is an awesome swiss army knife of mobile audio. I used it here to record the track in so I could then move it into …

En Hiver mastered in Final Touch

Which made it sound even better, or at least that’s what I think. The final track will be up on SoundCloud later.
