Tydlig updated but still no save

Which is a real shame in my view. I mean, I understand that it isn’t always easy to give users what they want, but this is a feature that I think would make this app so much better, so much more usable. So why not add it? I’m not sure I understand this at all.

I might even have to find myself another calculator app that does what I want it to do. I’d rather not, but what else can I do?

SoundLab Play Space: Studio Amplify

These guys are pretty amazing actually. I’ve been following their NOiZE app for a long time now and it’s nearly ready for prime time. I’m glad to have been a part of the journey that they’ve been on and I’m pleased that they were able to be SoundLab’s Play Space event at NESTA last month.

Mark and Ed using LoopTree at the SoundLab Play Space

Ed from LoopTree (Coding Cod) was an absolute star at the Play Space and helped lots of people get to grips with looping where they’d never done it before. I liked this photo a lot as it also has Mark from Heart n Soul in it.

So Pocket is now a social network

It’s interesting to see how a bookmarking app can evolve over time. Now it seems to be becoming a social network in its own right. All the usual things are there, like following and followers, sharing and liking etc. As a matter of fact I don’t think it is a bad implementation at all. I like the way they’ve done it. Time will tell if it works out or not. So far, I think it’s ok. Good start.

DS-10 then and now

DS-10 now and then
DS-10 now and then

I do love the old DS-10. I’ve had the DS version, and now, the iOS version. It’s all pretty cool. Amazing that we’ve come so far and yet mobile music goes on and changes and matures.

The latest version of the DS-10, the iDS-10 is pretty awesome. I’m just getting to grips with it, but so far I’m really enjoying it a lot.

Still waiting for that Pebble IFTTT channel

It’s been such a long time that I’m beginning to question whether I heard it correctly or rather read it correctly. But I’m sure I did. I’m sure that Pebble said that that was something that they were working on ages ago, but so far, it hasn’t arrived unless I’ve missed it. What would I use it for? I don’t know to be honest, maybe nothing at all in the end, but I’d like to have the chance to play around with it.

A quick reminder for the SoundLab Play Space coming up soon this month

I’ve posted on this before, but here’s a little reminder. This event will be completely amazing, or at least I hope so anyway. It’s starting to shape up now and really come together. So I plan to be posting a few more details about the event quite soon and show some of the things I’m going to do be doing and showing there, and some of the amazing people who’ll be there.

If you’re interested in attending or being a part of it in some way, then take a look at this page on the SoundLab web site.

Some more thoughts on the littlebits iOS app

I was thinking about this a bit more the other day, and really I’d like to see the ability to prototype directly in the app. That would, without a doubt, be the coolest thing possible to do with this app. It would be nice to play with a set up and be able to create stuff in the app that used not only the bits you owned, but others, and even prototype bits, or bits on the bitlab too.

That would be my preferred experience.

Reminder: SoundLab Play Space is coming up
