Ok, my last post about the veteran car rally for this year anyway. I’ve never had a programme from the rally before, so it was great to get one this year after so many years of watching the event.

I realised today that I haven’t seen a single kid asking for a ‘penny for the guy’ this year. It seems to have become a lost tradition. Years ago I remember loads of kids by bus stops and stations all asking for a penny for the guy. Of course inflation had an impact and I’m sure I once heard a ‘pound for the guy’!
But now it seems to be no more. That’s a shame.

I’ve been playing in GameSalad which lets you use it’s interface to make HTML5 games or any other kind of application for that matter. I made this drum ‘thing’ and thought I’d show it off. It isn’t finished, and I don’t know if I will finish it for that matter, but it is kind of fun to muck about with.
This year was the first time I actually helped out (sort of) with the veteran car rally. It’s an awesome event, and I’ve watched it to a greater or lesser degree for years and years now. This year for the first time I got a programme as well. In fact I didn’t even know that there were programmes for the rally.
I got a few half decent photos, or at least photos I think are half decent and I’ll post them soon enough, but I really liked this one a lot.
The year is getting old and tired and in some ways I feel like that too like there’s just this stretch to get through to the end of the year and the Christmas break and new year.
It’s getting colder and my umbrella has seen action again. To the extent that it’s partly broken as well.
It’s winter and I don’t want it to be. Nothing I can do but look forward to holidays and a rest. I guess it isn’t too far but it does feel like a long wait at the moment.
