Another great 4th Doctor story from Big Finish. I really enjoyed this one and Alice Krige was a surprise, but very good indeed.

What’s not to like right? It is my favourite genre of fiction by a long way indeed.
Amazing who turns up in Doctor Who
Doctor Who: Myths and Legends
A great box set of Who stories which is rounding off my collection of Tom Baker’s 4th Doctor stories.
The Forbidden Planet
I’ve loved this film for years and years, and I’ve only just got a copy of it at last. It’s amazing to think that it was made in 1956. The story still leaves me with questions, and the concepts are as relevant today as they were then.
The design and art are incredible, and I’d love to be able to walk around the krell machines to see them better.
Doctor Who: Underworld
Doctor Who: The Horns of Nimon
May the 4th be with you
Well, it’s May the 4th and of course you have to celebrate, and it looks like lots of people have. Certainly from a quick look at Instragram plenty of people have had some fun today.
Anyway, for the first time ever I watched the three original movies back to back. It was great. Like them or not they are a phenomenon in their own right. It also made me realise just how much better the first three are over the later movies, and it makes me hope that the new film(s) will be of a high standard.
Blake’s 7: Warship
After listening to the chronicles 2 I listened to this hour long story. It’s a full cast production and it works really well. I think that of the Blake’s 7 big finish productions pieces I’ve listened to, this is one of the best so far. I really enjoyed the story and I’m hopeful that it’ll lead on to something interesting.
Space 1999
The Liberator Chronicles 2.3: Wolf
The last of the stories in this boxed set. It wasn’t bad, somewhat intricate and starring Servalan. In fact it was quite a complex story, and, as with the others in the set, a big improvement on the first box set I got. Still, overall the stories lack something. Perhaps the kind of overall texture that you get from a Doctor Who Big Finish story. Perhaps that’s not a bad thing. Blake’s 7 was always more stark, minimal, and maybe that’s how it’s being played.
Whatever the case, this was a better listen than last time around, so I’m glad I got it, and I might give the first box set another listen now.
