I’ve been a Doctor Who fan as long as I can remember

I was skeptical about this audiobook as I thought it would just be too short get a real story going. However, I was pleasantly surprised. Even though it was short, only 35 minutes long, it was great. A good, self contained Doctor Who story. Well narrated by Louise Jameson too.
So I might need to look into a few more of these short trips stories now.

I’ve been meaning to sample a few of the Big Finish ‘short trips’ stories, but haven’t got around to it as yet. So when this one came out yesterday I decided that it was an idea time to start. It’s only just over 30 minutes long so I’m not expecting a detailed story, but it could be fun.
And I’m really looking forward to it. I’ve been waiting very patiently since it was first announced and today is the day! I may have to post about this a lot. Just saying, so as you know.

These are the old Nicholas Courtney episodes which I thought I’d like to. He had an excellent voice and always carried a show. It is strange to hear him when you know he’s gone, but it’s good to remember what an awesome actor he was and what a great character The Brigadier was too.
Yeah, I know. I’m excited about this, but I did think that the War Doctor (especially played by John Hurt) was such a great idea so I am really looking forward to it. With a week to go I’m wondering if I should read or listen to Engines of War, the BBC Audio story for the War Doctor. I probably don’t have time to get that done, but I’d like to.
Anyway, if you didn’t know, The War Doctor box set comes out on the 14th.
So Big Finish have now said when they’re going to publish this. It’s just over two weeks away on the 14th of December. So that date is firmly in my diary now! I’m hoping that it’s going to be as good as I’d like it to be. The BBC audiobook was very good indeed, in a somewhat unexpected way, so I hope Big Finish can do even better.
