someone who's doing some things
One of my favourite artists.
It made a huge impression on me and has influenced my musical choices ever since. I can remember playing it over and over again, both sides of course.
These days, when I find a 7″ copy of it, I feel an overwhelming urge to buy it. So when I found this one in a second hand record store for £1 I did buy it.
I’m sure that eventually I’ll end up with a stack of these. Not that that’s a huge problem of course.
This is one of the things I really wanted to get this year at RSD. I have the tracks already, in fact, I think I have multiple versions in multiple formats too, but that’s not what this is about.
The two songs are really important to me. They bring back special memories, and any opportunity to have a new version or iteration, even in just the packaging, well, I’ll take it. This edition, for Record Store Day, is rather lovely. I’ve played it once, just once. That’s enough. It’s a thing of beauty, and I’m glad to have it.
I’m still a fan, and I wish he’d release some more material, but even so, I wish him a happy birthday today.
I haven’t watched this in ages now, and I’ve no actual way of watching this copy either. I don’t have a VHS player anymore. I’m pretty sure that I have a DVD version somewhere or other though.

I wonder what it means?
A rather lovely cassette only release, and numbered. Of course it become a CD release later on, but the original tape is wonderful.
There are still a few tapes out there that I’d like to own, and this was one of them. Of course the benefit of buying tapes is that hardly anyone else wants them. The downside is that more people throw them away than sell them.
Still, this is a tape I’ve been after for ages.
I only heard about this kickstarter today and I think it’s one I’m going to back. So I thought I’d post it here in case it’s of interest.
