This is a really interesting app to play with and use although I don’t think it would be something to actually make any music from, which seems strange, but even so it is quite a lot of fun to use.
It’s almost certainly staying on my iPhone 3G.
Tag: Apps
Everything is about apps at the moment. A lot of what I mention under the apps tag is around iOS and mobile music, but there’s other stuff too, and not just iOS, but Android, Palm OS and Windows mobile.
More Aura Flux
Great fun for just noodling around really, and a nice looking picture from it, although the ‘kites’ scene or sketch or whatever the correct term is looks good too.
The Zoetrope
It is a brilliant idea for an app, as indeed is the zoetrope a brilliant idea in itself. Having a virtual one on a device is great as I never get out the one I have at home.
I love this app, and even though I have no real need to keep it whatsoever I will continue to.
You cannot blame me for being tempted by a name like SpaceLab
I saw the name of this app and I had to get it. SpaceLab sounds like such a great idea. I reality it isn’t really that cosmic a music app. Not that it isn’t fun to play with and it has a nice sound for a monosynth, but it is still a monosynth. The interface is nice, but it isn’t breaking any new ground in particular, and yet the name gets me. I love it.
Doesn’t really make any sense does it?
App revisit: Tek Kit
Not a bad little drum machine for my 3G. I think I’ll probably keep it for now.
Reactable Mobile
I do like Reactable mobile, but once again it falls into the ‘haven’t had much time to it’ category. So I decided to play with it again and I’m well on my way to getting some interesting (ok, interesting to me) patches done.
More Palm OS stuff available
You might not have noticed that there’s some more ancient Palm OS stuff available here. I will be adding more zipped files with old apps that are disappearing from anywhere else on the internet, although I’m not sure that anyone will actually these want anyway.
App revisit: Synthprobe
Another app that I didn’t really use before, but now it’s sitting on my 3G I’ve found that it’s really good. I know it hasn’t been updated for a while, but it makes some great sounds.
RJDJ: Shake
When loading up my old 3G with music apps I realised that I had more RJDJ apps than I remembered, so I’ve been using them again and remembering just how good all of these scenes are.
App revisit: Junglinge Synth
Another older app that I haven’t used in a very long time. This app has a very interesting user interface and makes some great noises. It is really a noise maker rather than a synth, but certainly something I’ll keep to play around with again.
