someone who's doing some things
I’ve been thinking about this ever since the 6s came out and 3D touch was announced. It is of course the 3D touch feature that I’m most interested in. Aside from that it is just another iPhone. But I’m torn. Should I wait for the 7, which will invariably have more features and I might want one of those, or should I dive in now and get a 6s and use the 3D touch?
I’m not sure. The cautious part of me says to wait, but I’m not sure it’s right this time.
I just thought I’d mention that currently there’s a really good deal on Doctor Who audiobooks at Humble Bundle. All of them are Big Finish audiobooks, so good quality, and cheap as anything! Just $15 (£10.50) gets you the deal, so in GBP terms it is less than £1 an audiobook. Can’t really say fairer than that.
For me this was a great thing. Setting up the Handera 330 and the bC-16 together. That was so cool. Using apps like Theremini and BeatPad and Hedghog.
Yep, they’ve arrived, and in good time for Christmas. I backed these on Kickstarter and I’m looking forward to playing with them over my Christmas break. There’ll be a video I’m sure!
I’d been after one of these for so long and at long last this year I’ve got one. It is lovely, really lovely.
These are really amazing little devices. Brilliant design, really interesting sounds, but not an intuitive interface. Fun, fun, fun, though.
This was back in January this year. I’ve been a fan of his work and of his genius book on circuit bending and making musical instruments. I’ve seen him live a couple of times now ad he’s always great. I even did a workshop with him years ago and it was excellent. So I got myself a selfie with Nic Collins! Why wouldn’t you?
This post over at PalmSounds is all about my favourite apps, or rather, favourite music apps anyway, that I’ve been using this year. There’s 24 in my list and it was pretty hard to keep it to 24 too.
I got the Olegtron for Christmas last year and it is a thing of joy, at least it is for me anyway. It’s enormous fun to play and experiment with. I haven’t had enough time to play with it but I hope to again soon. It’s a great device, and I’m glad to have one.
