Reactable Mobile

I do like Reactable mobile, but once again it falls into the ‘haven’t had much time to it’ category. So I decided to play with it again and I’m well on my way to getting some interesting (ok, interesting to me) patches done.

More Palm OS stuff available

You might not have noticed that there’s some more ancient Palm OS stuff available here. I will be adding more zipped files with old apps that are disappearing from anywhere else on the internet, although I’m not sure that anyone will actually these want anyway.

30 years since ‘Only You’ was released

Who could believe it? I had no idea that Yazoo was that old! It’s funny as I saw Vince Clarke and Alison Moyet play at the Mute festival at the Roundhouse last year and I thought they were brilliant.

I think I’ll have to listen to some Yazoo tomorrow.

Arduino Mega ADK

I sat on the fence about getting one of these for a while, but I eventually decided that I’d love to play with Arduino and Android and Processing all together. So expect some more semi-mobile geekery in due course.

RJDJ: Shake

When loading up my old 3G with music apps I realised that I had more RJDJ apps than I remembered, so I’ve been using them again and remembering just how good all of these scenes are.

App revisit: Junglinge Synth

Another older app that I haven’t used in a very long time. This app has a very interesting user interface and makes some great noises. It is really a noise maker rather than a synth, but certainly something I’ll keep to play around with again.

To MIDIfy a VL-1

So, having got my VL-1 and located my VL-1 MIDI kit, I suddenly realise that I don’t have any instructions to go with it!

I’ve asked highly-liquid for some help as they made the kit.

Getting going with uLoops, or PocketBand …

This is another of those ‘I’ve been meaning to do this for ages …’ type projects. Although not really a project. uLoops, or PocketBand as it seems to be called now is one of a very few Android apps that will a) run on my machine, and b) seems to work.

For a long time I’ve meant to move beyond the basic free version of the app and get the full version, and as it was on sale over the weekend I decided that now was a great time to do just that.

So I hope to get playing with it soon and even make something worthwhile. Who knows, I might even try and get it running on the Android install on my 3G!
