Thinking about what to do with Sugru
I’d heard of this stuff before, but I’d never used it. I got this sample from the lovely people at Technology Will Save Us when I went to their talk the other day. The sugru web site has some really good examples of how people have used the stuff.
So the only question remaining is, what should I use it for?

I’ve made one of these before, but I got given another kit at the talk I went to given by Technology Will Save Us. So I guess I’ll make this one and then maybe have a little lumiphone ensemble!

Is it useful? Yes, probably, but maybe not too much for me at the moment, but it is just one of those things I really wanted to have, and it is so cool!

Technology Will Save us: Getting Physical with tech
I went to this talk last night about physical tech. Lots of stuff about Arduinos and prototyping and 3D printing and all of that kind of stuff. I really enjoyed it, especially because the guy giving the talk was so enthusiastic.
The evening did a lot to re-energise me into thinking about making stuff and getting on with some projects, or just having some fun playing with tech.
8th Doctor: Time Works
Having resumed my listening to the 8th Doctor stories I’ve now nearly finished this one, ‘Time Works’. It’s an interesting story, quite intriguing in many ways although I’m starting to suspect that the outcome of the story is going to be a little more mundane than I’d hoped. Anyway, it’s been a good journey with this story, and that’s what’s it’s about really I suppose.
Star Trek: City on the edge of forever
A completely classic episode, and an excellent story too. This has to be one of my favourite episodes of all time, this and of course the excellent “Piece of the action”, but this one is famous for Joan Collins being the guest star, and she did a very good job of it too.
Even now it stands up well, or at least I think so anyway.
