I prefer the old style tickets which needed to be punched and clipped by a guard on the train. Of course on some of the old heritage lines they still do that. These are lovely, much nicer to handle.

Yeah, just general stuff. Basically this is where I’ll put everything that doesn’t go anywhere else. You always need that kind of category right.
I put this on Instagram a while back and it just tickled me. What I did was to put my Pebble watch on top of my Twine box. The Twine is set to notify my iPhone every time it’s moved, measured by vibration. However, whenever the Pebble Time gets a notification it vibrates. So, once the Pebble Time is sitting on top of the Twine Box all it needs to do is to receive a notification from my iPhone and then a chain of events is triggered. The Pebble Time vibrates. This causes the Twine to notify my iPhone of a movements (via IFTTT). The iPhone gets the notification, it’s passed on to the Pebble Time, and so the cycle repeats.
I found it quite funny, but I guess no one else will.
Now that’s a shame. No more texts from GCal! I’m going to miss those a lot. I’ll just have to work out a better way of getting notifications. Probably have to use IFTTT for that, so something.
I was a big fan of Rome when it was on and I think I’ve watched it several times since then. One of the best things about Rome was legionary Pullo and his amazing sayings. He came out with some absolute classics and I didn’t want them to be lost. So I had an idea to set up a twitter account which would tweet some of his best everyday.
So I’ve set up a twitter account which will tweet his wisdom every day. If you want to follow it, you can find it here.
I posted recently about the new SoundLab site but completely forgot to actually post a link to it, so just for completeness, please click here to get to the SoundLab web site.
I thought I’d post something new rather than update the old post just so it was at the top of the page, at least for a little while anyway.
After a not bad wait at all my new Pebble Time smartwatch has arrived. So now I’m experimenting with it to see what it can do and what I can get done with it. That’s going to take a little while I should think, but as I decided to go with the Pebble Time just before the Apple Watch was announced and took centre stage I want to see how much I can get done with the new Pebble.
So expect updates on this over the coming weeks …
