I do like using this app with stuff. You can get some really interesting sounds and effects from the various modules in my molecule synth.

The ‘creative process’ category is about anything that relates to or influences the creative process.
Here comes some experimenting …
SoundLab site is live
We’ve got our new SoundLab site up and running. It’s already got some great resources available there and we’ll be adding more very soon. Please do check it out.
Video for my track: Sympaticon
I quite enjoyed making this and getting it finished off. It isn’t perfect by any means, but it isn’t bad, and as a first attempt (almost first) I’m quite pleased with it.
Of course, it makes me think of other stuff I’d like to do with video, so expect more at some point.
Just a little update to the littleBits video page
The page has been updated with a new video as I’ve added some more bits to my kit. The latest video on the page uses a line input to connect an iPhone 3G into the kit.
Getting some more littleBits time
I finally got some time today to do some more stuff with my littleBits kit. Using the new stuff to get some different outcomes with my kit. It’s so much fun to make stuff with the kit. So many interesting sounds that you can get out of it. Of course I could buy more bits and expand my kit almost for ever. I don’t think it would be too healthy if I did that from a financial point of view though.
So instead I’m starting to try out connecting the kit to other stuff. I already tried this with the molecule synth, which I will try again as it goes, but one of the new bits I got was the mic bit which also has a line input which should allow for some more creative connections.
As always, there’ll be videos …
A different version of the dream draw
This is an updated version of an older track I made. I posted details of how it was made over on Palm Sounds too. I’m actually quite proud of it. The process was a little haphazard, but enjoyable nonetheless.
Loving messing about with littleBits Korg Synth kit

To the extent that I’ve been wondering about getting some of the other components to do even more interesting things with it. I’ve also been thinking about how to combine it with some of my other gear to see how it can work together. It really is awesome stuff!
I recorded some sounds from the littleBits kit using my GuitarJack line in and my iPhone 3G running FourTrack, which still works like a dream!
The new Jasuto is the new Jasuto
Of course it was wonderful to see the new version of Jasuto (v 1.5) finally arrive on the app store after such a massive gap. And it wasn’t a disappointment at all. There’s plenty of new toys in there that are all great and shiny. It’s fun to play with this after such a long time. It reminds me just how good it is to make things, to put things together and see how they work.
I remember when Jasuto first came out it was a truly amazing step forward for music making on mobile devices, but it was hard to get into and I think a lot of people found that too, not really understanding how to make things work in Jasuto. It too me a while, but it was worth the effort and when I went back to it this week it was just as I’d remembered.
So I’m looking forward to spending more time with it and making more things as a lead in to some increased creativity after a somewhat dry spell.
