The original Day of the Triffid from the 1970s. It was a great story and a good version. It’s interesting to see the differences between this and the newer version, which I really liked. In fact I like both now, and of course the big finish sequel story too, but now I feel like I have to see the new version again.

Listening to the lost stories
I’ve been listening to these stories for a few days. They are pretty good. Not all of them, but on the whole they are and I’ve been enjoying how they’ve been brought back and amended for audio.
Of course, as with any set of stories there are some you like and some you don’t like as much, but so far these have been of a particularly high quality and I’ve enjoyed the characters and the stories themselves. I’m looking forward to hearing all of the 6th Doctor lost stories.
SoundLab and Heart n Soul on the British Council site
It was great to see this on the British Council web site just before Christmas. A really good endorsement of the superb work that Heart n Soul do.
Some more littleBits experimentation from me

Me on DIG Index
Just in case you’re interested I thought I’d mention that Palm Sounds is also now on the DIG index too. If you’re interested to find out what that is then click here.
It’s time that littleBits started to play nicely with others …
So having carried out a number of experiments using the Romo I’ve decided that a more musical robot is needed, and that will require something more bespoke. So I’ve chosen Mindstorms as a starting place, but of course for the musical side, littleBits is ideal. Connecting the two will now be easy, because of the above.
Now that’s a good idea for reusing bits of a modular phone
I’d never heard of this modular phone platform before today. It sounds awesome, not least because of the whole idea of being able to move bits of phone into my own super computer. That would be very cool.
