The second of volume 2’s stories. This one wasn’t as good as the first in the set, but actually when you get into it the story was really good. So far the set has been a big improvement on the first box set.

Yep, TV stuff. I like watching TV. Not all TV, but some shows.
Looking forward to listening to this
Blake’s 7 to be remade by SyFy
It was on the BBC news website today, and it’s such great news after so many rumours of Blake’s 7 remakes and reboots etc. Of course, we’ve been here before. More than once actually. But this time I really hope that it does get remade and that it’s really is a worthy remake of the excellent Blake’s 7. It has all the right ingredients. A good writer and director on board, and SyFy actually make some good stuff, so I have high hopes.
I really hope it comes together in the not too distant future.
Doctor Who and the invasion of the dinosaurs
U.F.O.
The Android Invasion
This is a great Tom Baker story, and one that I needed to add to my collection. It’s part of a two story boxed set called “The Unit Files” as both of the stories feature UNIT quiet heavily. Great stuff though.
I so enjoy these earlier stories. They take their time to unfold and get going and there is much more emphasis on the science fiction.
Well worth a watch if you get the chance.
UFO
I got the boxed set of UFO (from the 70’s) for Christmas, and I started watching them tonight, but I wasn’t ready for just how 1970’s they’d be! Of course, you can’t judge a 1970’s production by today’s standards in anyway at all, it just isn’t fair, but it makes you realise what we take for granted in so many aspects of television.
Anyway, it’s a great show, and I love the theme tune too. As I watch them I’ll probably comment some more about the show. In fact, I probably won’t be able to help myself!
Wallander
I really liked the UK version of Wallander with Kenneth Brannagh. I’ve watched all 3 series and recently re-watched the first two series on netflix. I was impressed again with just how good the performances were and the very high production values in all the episodes. But the one thing I haven’t been able to do so far is to watch the original series. I’m sure it’s very good, and maybe I’ll get around to watching it one day, but for now I’ll just stick to the one I like.
Finishing off Survivors
I’ve been watching the BBC’s re-make of the Survivors for a while, including a large gap in watching. But now, I’ve finished it. It only got 2 seasons, and I think it could have gone on for longer, but never mind. In the end I thought it was very good. Very good for a post apocalyptic view of the world. It wasn’t as bleak as some, like “The Road” for instance, but it was quite an interesting perspective.
Blake’s 7: Season 1
I’ve just finished watching season 1 of Blake’s 7, and I’ve loved every minute of it. It’s been wonderful. I’m really looking forward to the next two seasons, which I’ll almost certainly watch soon enough. The more I watch Blake’s 7 the more I realise just how underrated it was.
So, on to season 2.
