Sunvox is completely awesome of course, but when you realise how many devices it runs on, you just have to wonder how it can be this good everywhere.

Apple’s mobile OS. I find that I use iOS (on the iPad and iPhone) for a lot of things these days, mainly because it’s just so useful.
So it looks like I’m moving to iOS8 today
My iPhone 6 is due for delivery today. So it looks like I’ll move to iOS8 by default. I’m still resisting moving on my iPad Mini, but for my iPhone I think I have no choice. I’ll be letting you know about how I get on and what works and what doesn’t. In some ways I’ll miss my iPhone 5. It’s done well over the last two years even though it does have a defective battery which needs changing.
The two main things I’m looking forward to are having more space as I’m moving from 32 to 64gb, and having a phone where the battery doesn’t deplete in around 2 hours!
Let’s see how that works out. More later.
Studio Amplify’s NOiZE app at the Royal Festival Hall for the Beautiful Octopus Club
Looking back at my sounds: Vertigo
A track made on my iPhone 3G using iSequence, JR Hexatone Pro, Noise IO Pro, Star Guitar, Star Piano, Star Melody and Beatmaker to pull all the samples together.
It isn’t a very complex track, I was just experimenting with putting loops together from lots of different apps.
SoundLab Digital Band at the RFH Tunnel of Love
Using two Thereminis, a Microsoft Kinnect, two iPads and Ableton Live in the middle of everything we made some lovely noises in the Tunnel of Love in July.

SoundLab Digital Band at the Tunnel of Love, Royal Festival Hall
“Using two Thereminis, a Microsoft Kinnect, two iPads and Ableton Live in the middle of everything we made some lovely noises in the Tunnel of Love in July.”
This was a great event and the public reaction to it was fantastic.
This is why Loop Producer was so great
When you watch this you may (or may not) agree that this was actually pretty far ahead of it’s time for what it was trying to achieve. I love the fact that you can replay whole performances and just watch what you did.
Thinking about Ototo and MIDI
New music from me: Sectorism
I recorded a loop from Figure and put it into Sector. I linked the MIDI clock with Effectrix and this is what happened.
