Watching Enterprise
I remember when this show first came out. I was really looking forward to it. I thought it was a great idea, a prequel to the original series, what could be better. But it didn’t hold my attention, and I eventually lost complete interest after only a few episodes.
The other day I noticed that it was on Netflix and I decided to give it another go and see if my original disinterest was well founded. I’ve been watching season one now up to episode 14, and, whilst it’s ok, it’s not brilliant I have to say. I find some of the characters quite annoying, especially the captain, who just doesn’t seem to learn anything or listen to anyone and doesn’t develop at all.
I think I’ll continue with it, but I now understand why it eventually got cancelled. I don’t think that the writing held up against all the other series.

I’ve been going to this amazing storytelling festival for well over a decade now. And, even though it’s now only on every other year it is as wonderful and magical as ever it was. I love it. It is a complete change of pace for a few delightful days and is, in my opinion, completely unmissable.
I shall be posting a few of the highlights over the coming days as there were many, and not all of them were story related, but all of them were wonderful.
I love the song, but the 7″ cover …
In fact I really do like this single it’s a great song and I sort of wished that they’d done more together, but sadly they didn’t. Shame about the 7″ cover though.
Best of the Associates
I’ve been a fan of The Associates since I first heard ‘White Car in Germany’ and ‘Q Quarters’. This is a great compilation of their material over the years. Nice to listen to all of it together.
