So Reaktor 6 is here
And it looks really interesting and like a good update from 5.5. But before upgrading I have to ask myself if I’m actually going to make enough use of this update to make it worthwhile. So far I’m not doing anything really interesting with Reaktor so I’m sitting on the fence about getting the upgrade. There’s always the argument that actually the upgrade itself will make me make something interesting with it, but I’m even struggling to get myself to believe that!
I think I’ll leave it for a couple of months and see what I feel like then.
Edinburgh Fringe 2015: The Elephant in the Room
I do like dance although I seldom get the chance to see any, so this show looked like it might be worth seeing, and it was. I’m not sure that I understood it very well, but I did enjoy it.
I expect that I need to spend more time getting to understand modern dance before I can really get my head into it, but I doubt that’ll happen any time soon.
I expect that I’ll just dip my toe in the water every now and again like with this show.
I dream of wires is on Netflix
This is one of those things that I’ve been meaning to see for ages. So when I discovered it was on Netflix that became a lot easier. So I thought I’d mention it in case you were thinking of seeing it too and didn’t know it was there.
When I’ve finally got around to watching it I’ll let you know what I think too.
Doctor Who: Earthshock
I picked this re-issued version up 2nd hand. It’s ok, but I might get a better version one day. Of course the significant thing about this story is that it was the end of the line for one of the companions. If you don’t know which one I’m not going to tell you!
And then I had wings!
I got sent this picture from the Beautiful Octopus Club. It’s pretty awesome, so I had to post it. Never knew I had wings for one thing!
Blake’s 7 coming back in 2016
Which is of course great news. I enjoyed the last series of Blake’s 7 from Big Finish, it was good and I’m just glad that they’re bringing it back next year. Blake’s 7 will quite possibly last longer on Big Finish than it did on the BBC! That’s not a bad thing either. I think it’s in good hands with Big Finish, I think they understand the Blake universe and know both what the fans want and what works, and that’s the most important thing of all.
So I’m looking forward to seeing what they do with it in 2016, and who’s in it!

Not your normal beer …
I’m not normally a lager drinker, but I made an exception for this beer as I don’t think I’ve ever tasted a rum finished beer. It was an interesting flavour actually. Not unpleasant at all. You could tell that there was something different. I’m not sure if I could taste the rum in it, or if it was just that I knew there was rum in it so I tasted that automatically. Either way, it wasn’t a bad beer at all.
I’m not sure I’d try it again, but if I was faced with it and little else I’d go back to it. It’s worth a try if you get the opportunity.
