The Beautiful Octopus Club Radio Show 2014
I thought I’d post this as it has a little bit about SoundLab in it and it’s a great celebration of what the Beautiful Octopus Club is all about.

Edinburgh Fringe: Chaplin
Chaplin isn’t the easiest subject to take on in just over an hour, but this small production tried and I think that they did it quite well actually. They told his story very well even though there’s a lot to tell and it was a very complex story indeed. But overall I enjoyed the performance.
iPhone 6 update
Well, after spending an entire day out in London my new (arrived on Friday) iPhone 6 has made it through the entire day on a single charge. Something that my iPhone 5 hasn’t done in years. Well, probably at least a year to be fair. It did end up at only 10% of charge by the end of the day, but that was after almost 14 hours without charge. I think that’s quite impressive. For an iPhone anyway.
Falling Skies: Season 3
I missed series 3 of falling skies because our then cable TV provider was unable to actually provide a service for reasons best known to them. So when season 4 came out on Channel 5 I thought I might need to catch up. So I decided to buy season 3 on blinkbox and see if it was worth keeping on watching it. It was. In fact, I’ve become somewhat addicted to Falling Skies again.
So I’ve now watched the whole of season 3 and I’m ready for season 4, which I’ve only missed one episode of.

The evolution of the iPhone
So it looks like I’m moving to iOS8 today
My iPhone 6 is due for delivery today. So it looks like I’ll move to iOS8 by default. I’m still resisting moving on my iPad Mini, but for my iPhone I think I have no choice. I’ll be letting you know about how I get on and what works and what doesn’t. In some ways I’ll miss my iPhone 5. It’s done well over the last two years even though it does have a defective battery which needs changing.
The two main things I’m looking forward to are having more space as I’m moving from 32 to 64gb, and having a phone where the battery doesn’t deplete in around 2 hours!
Let’s see how that works out. More later.
Edinburgh Fringe: The Canterbury Tales
This was a great production of the Canterbury Tales. Only a part of it of course as the show was only an hour and a half I think. But it was very well done by a large group of teenagers who I’m pretty sure I saw last year doing The Agamemnon, which was incredible.
They’re certainly a group who I’d see again.
